Baby your are Firework!

Baby your are Firework!

So today, the last day of this boisterous yet blessed year…
I want to make a virtual toast ...
To friends and family who love and cherish who we really are.

To optimistic people who bring light to our existences.
To spiritual journeys.
To passion and romance,
the kind that make our hearts pound with a swirl of emotions.

To burned bridges and new roads.
To travels that open our souls.
To meaningful battles.
To simple pleasures of life.
To much needed goodbyes.
To new beginnings
To a new year full of blessings, love and beauty! ♥
… It is time to make amends, tie loose ends and dance old grudges out.

Bloggablegirl Xx

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

New version of me

New version of me

The new year is approaching and airs of renewal blow in bloggablegirl's land.  I  am in the process of reinventing a new version of me, starting with my blog that will not only be feauring sets for The Stylist on a Buget, but also some of my musings, tibdits and posts related to lifestyle. It is still a work in progress but I'm liking it so far.
There will be also daily inspirational quotes. It wouldn't be my blog without quotes! :)
Much love

Airport style inspired by VB

Style at the airport by VB

There is no doubt VB is one chic gal.  I  really like how she keeps reinventing herself without loosing her style . After all personal style is all about reinvention... don't you think?
I made this set thinking about my family and all my friends in the Southern Hemisphere.
As I see the rain fall outside my I wish I was there enjoying the summer time!

A time to think ...

Hectic time of the Year

Hectic time of the Year by bloggablegirl featuring high heels

It is that time of the year and unfortunately I could not afford to travel  to my country for the holidays. With a 2 week winter break in my hands I'm planning a porpuseful  time of dolce far niente combined with wishful, well- directed thinking. I intend to start the new year with fresh thoughts, projects, soul resolutions and  open heart.
What about you? What are you up to these days?

On a different note, the beautiful skirt featured in this set is one of my recent purchases from . It is so unique! I have already wore it with  a black sweater, opaque black tights and booties like the ones feature here.  It looks fantastic!
Much love

I'm beautiful inside and out :)

Stand by Me

One of my style resolutions for the new year is to be bolder with my color  and print choices. I have definitely been influenced by the polyvore community  when it comes to colors and prints and I dedicated this set to two of my best polyfriends.
I'm in love with these booties  from Steve Madden... I think I might need to get them!

Splendid Happiness

A question for you...

  •  The set above is a vision board :)
I absolutely love this poem by Martha Medeiros. I use to think it was written by  Pablo Neruda (one of my favorite poets) because  of the information circulating on the web. Anyway, I think the real author deserves the credit for the wisest  words ever written.
Rereading this poem is always a wake up call  for me. It makes me wonder about my choices, my dreams, my desires and what I really want to do with my life. This year I have questioned everything and even though,  I have felt uneasy at times, I am sure I am redirecting my steps towards splendid happiness.
Enjoy, BGG Xx

Dies Slowly

He  or she who becomes the slave of habit,
who follows the same routes every day,
who never changes pace,
who does not risk and change the color of his clothes,
who does not speak and does not experience,
dies slowly.

He or she who shuns passion,
who prefers black on white,
dotting ones "it’s" rather than a bundle of emotions, the kind that make your eyes glimmer,
that turn a yawn into a smile,
that make the heart pound in the face of mistakes and feelings,
dies slowly.

He or she who does not turn things topsy-turvy,
who is unhappy at work,
who does not risk certainty for uncertainty,
to thus follow a dream,
those who do not forego sound advice at least once in their lives,
die slowly.

He or she who does not travel, who does not read,
who does not listen to music,
who does not find grace in himself,
he who does not find grace in himself,
dies slowly.
He who slowly destroys his own self-esteem,
who does not allow himself to be helped,
who spends days on end complaining about his own bad luck, about the rain that never stops,
dies slowly.

He or she who abandon a project before starting it, who fail to ask questions on subjects he doesn't know, he or she who don't reply when they are asked something they do know,
die slowly.

Let's try and avoid death in small doses,
reminding oneself that being alive requires an effort far greater than the simple fact of breathing.

Only a burning patience will lead
to the attainment of a splendid happiness

I'm Through with Love

I'm Through with Love

Marilyn was a remarkable woman. She had to play the role of the sexy, dumb blonde for the media so many times, that most people believed the impersonation was the real her. Nothing further from the truth, she was indeed, an intelligent red-haired wild girl who most times fell for the wrong man.
RIP dear Miss. Monroe, you , your iconic red lipstick and the quotes from the real you, will be never forgotten.

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
― Marilyn Monroe

In this set, I tried recreating her glamour with more affordable items. Enjoy Xx
