Musings
The new year is approaching and airs of renewal blow in bloggablegirl's land. I am in the process of reinventing a new version of me, starting with my blog that will not only be feauring sets for The Stylist on a Buget, but also some of my musings, tibdits and posts related to lifestyle. It is still a work in progress but I'm liking it so far.
There will be also daily inspirational quotes. It wouldn't be my blog without quotes! :)

I made this set thinking about my family and all my friends in the Southern Hemisphere.

Hectic time of the Year by bloggablegirl featuring high heels
It is that time of the year and unfortunately I could not afford to travel to my country for the holidays. With a 2 week winter break in my hands I'm planning a porpuseful time of dolce far niente combined with wishful, well- directed thinking. I intend to start the new year with fresh thoughts, projects, soul resolutions and open heart.
What about you? What are you up to these days?
On a different note, the beautiful skirt featured in this set is one of my recent purchases from www.romwe.com . It is so unique! I have already wore it with a black sweater, opaque black tights and booties like the ones feature here. It looks fantastic!

One of my style resolutions for the new year is to be bolder with my color and print choices. I have definitely been influenced by the polyvore community when it comes to colors and prints and I dedicated this set to two of my best polyfriends.
I'm in love with these booties from Steve Madden... I think I might need to get them!

Rereading this poem is always a wake up call for me. It makes me wonder about my choices, my dreams, my desires and what I really want to do with my life. This year I have questioned everything and even though, I have felt uneasy at times, I am sure I am redirecting my steps towards splendid happiness.

Dies Slowly
He or she who becomes the slave of habit,
who follows the same routes every day,
who never changes pace,
who does not risk and change the color of his clothes,
who does not speak and does not experience,
dies slowly.
He or she who shuns passion,
who prefers black on white,
dotting ones "it’s" rather than a bundle of emotions, the kind that make your eyes glimmer,
that turn a yawn into a smile,
that make the heart pound in the face of mistakes and feelings,
dies slowly.
He or she who does not turn things topsy-turvy,
who is unhappy at work,
who does not risk certainty for uncertainty,
to thus follow a dream,
those who do not forego sound advice at least once in their lives,
die slowly.
He or she who does not travel, who does not read,
who does not listen to music,
who does not find grace in himself,
he who does not find grace in himself,
dies slowly.
He who slowly destroys his own self-esteem,
who does not allow himself to be helped,
who spends days on end complaining about his own bad luck, about the rain that never stops,

He or she who abandon a project before starting it, who fail to ask questions on subjects he doesn't know, he or she who don't reply when they are asked something they do know,

Let's try and avoid death in small doses,
reminding oneself that being alive requires an effort far greater than the simple fact of breathing.
